Fr. Winston Cabading, OP, Installed as Prior of Santo Domingo Convent and Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary La Naval de Manila

Quezon City, Philippines – On March 8, 2025 (Saturday), the Dominican Friars gathered to witness the solemn installation of Fr. Winston Cabading, OP, as the Prior of Santo Domingo Convent in Quezon City and the Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary La Naval de Manila. The event was graced by the presence of Dominican brothers from various communities.

Fr. Cabading’s profession of faith was received by Fr. Filemon I. dela Cruz, Jr., OP, the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines. The installation ceremony, held at Santo Domingo Church, was marked with prayerful solemnity as Fr. Cabading took on the responsibility of leading the “Mother House” of the Dominicans in the Philippines. Additionally, as Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary La Naval de Manila, he now assumes the sacred duty of overseeing the spiritual and pastoral care of one of the most revered Marian shrines in the Philippines.

Prior to his election, Fr. Cabading served as the superior of the House of St. Mary Magdalene in Caleruega, Nasugbu, Batangas.

The installation of Fr. Cabading was a moment of great joy and hope for the Dominican Province of the Philippines and the community of Santo Domingo Convent, as the friars expressed their prayers and support for his new leadership.
