Fr. Jerone Geronimo, OP, Installed as New Parish Priest of Manaoag Basilica

Manaoag, Pangasinan – April 5, 2025 – The Canonical Possession of Rev. Fr. Jerone Geronimo, OP as the new Parish Priest of the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish of Manaoag was solemnly held on April 5, 2025 in the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Socrates B. Villegas, DD, OP, Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan.

This sacred rite signifies the formal entrustment of the pastoral leadership of the Parish to Fr. Jerone, in communion with the Dominican Community and the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan.

The faithful gathered in prayer and celebration, entrusting Fr. Jerone’s new ministry to the Lord. In his homily, the Archbishop emphasized the role of a parish priest as a shepherd called to serve with mercy, compassion, and fidelity.

As Fr. Jerone begins this new chapter of service, we pray that he may draw strength from Christ’s merciful love—especially as revealed in the Gospel story of the Woman Caught in Adultery—and reflect that same mercy in his pastoral care for pilgrims and parishioners.

Through the intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, may his priestly ministry bear abundant fruit, leading many souls closer to Christ.
