From July 13 to 16, 2025, Br. Filemon dela Cruz, OP, Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines, made a fraternal visit to the Dominican missionaries assigned in the Diocese of Gibraltar.

On his way to Krakow, Poland, for the General Chapter of Provincials, he took the opportunity to pass by Gibraltar to check on the friars sent to assist the Diocese in its pastoral and catechetical mission.

He celebrated Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at St. Bernard’s Church and met with the parishioners and catechists of the CREDO program—a collaboration between the Diocese and UST's Institute of Religion. He was warmly welcomed by Bishop Carmel Zammit, who toured him around key sites including Sacred Heart Parish and Nazareth House.

Br. Dela Cruz also met Filipino Thomasians working in Gibraltar and walked through the historic Main Street, passing notable sites like the Governor’s Residence (a former Franciscan convent) and the Tax Office (once a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary).

The Dominican mission in Gibraltar continues to support the local Church through sacraments, catechesis, the Rosary Confraternity, and pastoral care for the elderly.

After the visit, the Prior Provincial proceeded to Krakow to participate in the General Chapter of Provincials.
