Legaspi Begins Second Term as Prior, Leads Preparations for Manaoag Coronation Centennial

On Feb. 11, 2026, the Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, members of the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary in Manaoag, Pangasinan gathered to witness the installation of Br. Felix C. Legaspi III, OP, as prior of the convent for his second term.

The rite of installation was integrated into the Evening Prayer at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag. The celebration was also attended by members of the Dominican Laity, as well as pilgrims and devotees of Apo Baket.

Following the reading of the Letter confirming the election of the prior by Br. Roberto Reyes, OP, Conventual Secretary, Br. Legaspi made his Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity, which was received by Br. Filemon I. dela Cruz Jr., OP, Prior Provincial.

The installation carries special significance as the Dominican community prepares for the centennial of the canonical coronation of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag on April 22, 2026. The upcoming celebration is expected to draw thousands of pilgrims from across the country, and Br. Legaspi will play a pivotal role in guiding the Minor Basilica in organizing spiritual and pastoral initiatives leading up to this historic celebration of the shrine’s enduring Marian devotion.
