Institute of Preaching Honors Graduates at Solemn Investiture Ceremony

The Philippine Dominican Center of Institutional Studies (PDCIS) and the Institute of Preaching (IP) held the Solemn Investiture for the new graduates of its preaching programs.

Present were the Prior Provincial, Very. Rev. Fr. Filemon I. dela Cruz, Jr., OP, the Director of the Institute of Preaching, Rev. Fr. Romualdo P. Cabanatan, Jr., OP, the professors of the Institute, and the brethren from the different communities. Also present were the Dominican sisters, and the family and friends of the graduates.

This year, the Institute of Preaching proudly presents its graduates: three (3) from the Certificate in Preaching program and two (2) from the Master of Arts in Preaching program. Four of the graduates are the brothers from the Dominican Province of the Philippines, and one is from the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating class, Br. John Rheed M. Caturza, OP, highlighted that the struggles and difficulties we face in life, regardless of our calling, are not mere burdens, but instruments for holiness. He reminded the congregation that God does not desire pain and suffering for us, but rather gives us strength amidst trials, hope amidst struggles, and love amidst pain.

Let us pray for these religious men and women, that they may truly be Preachers of Truth and Preachers of Grace.
