Dominican Province of the Philippines Holds Province-Wide Retreat in Alfonso, Cavite

Alfonso, Cavite – November 18-23, 2024 – The brethren of the Dominican Province of the Philippines gathered for a province-wide retreat at St. Paul Center for Renewal, Alfonso, Cavite. The retreat focused on reflecting on the themes of the ongoing Year of Prayer 2024 and the upcoming Jubilee of the Pilgrims of Hope in 2025.

The retreat’s theme, inspired by these two jubilees, emphasized deepening the synodal journey of prayer, reflection, and community as the friars walked together in faith and hope as brothers in the Dominican Order.

Guided by inspiring speakers—

• Rev. Fr. Elias L. Ayuban, CMF, Bishop-elect of the Diocese of Cubao,

• Most Rev. Cerilo U. Casicas, DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Marbel,

• Rev. Fr. Rolando V. Dela Rosa, OP, from Sto. Domingo Convent,

• and Most Rev. Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Pasig.

It was a truly blessed week of fraternal renewal, communion, and shared commitment to journeying together in prayer, strengthening bonds as a Dominican community and as a synodal Church.
